Anguilla is inspired by the puzzling life of river eels and my childhood memories of listening to water dripping at night. The piece has three sections: five interconnected cushion pads, a trapezoidal wooden shell with holes, and a water-dripping installation made of mild steel sheet inside.
This furniture project reflects on metamorphosis, non-visual experience, accumulation of choices, acts of waiting, and interpreting ambiguous signals.
